This bread is made with no yeast. It is an old family recipe. We use ripe bananas to provide the best flavor. With a bit of spices added, this makes a great breakfast bread or snack. We have three varieties, plain with no added spices, chocolate chip which is favored by children, and spiced with cinnamon and other spices adding to the flavors of the bread.
Please store in an air tight container in the fridge for several days. This bread freezes extremely well. To thaw, remove from bag and set on a plate and leave to defrost.
Note: These take 3 hours or more to make depending on amount purchased. Cooking time alone is one hour, plus making the dough, cooling for packaging, etc.
